This Way Up
Final Year Show
This Way Up was a mobile exhibition created, developed and curated by a team of graduating designers from UCA Epsom - a group of some of my classmates and I on my final year of university. The idea was to set up a compact structure that would fit into a van and could help carry and storage all of the artwork being exhibited safely. Aiming to reach more studios for possible future networking and employment, we saw fit to visit design studios and showcase our work in order to seize the opportunity, rather than having a set location and wait for the opportunity to come to us.
Our introduction below:
“We are a team of graduating designers from UCA Epsom, presenting our 2019 degree show entitled ‘thiswayup.graphics’. We will be on the road from the 13—28 June 2019, exhibiting at a selection of design studios across the UK.
You’re busy – so we would like to visit you instead of asking you to visit us!
This mobile exhibition will feature pieces specialising in typography, future-focused graphics, illustration and information design we’ve been designing throughout the past three years. Each exhibition will be curated to appeal to every specific studio and its team, and will be delivered and set up personally by us."
